TPER operates extensive bus network with 140+ routes. No metro currently (tram under construction, Red Line expected 2026). Single ticket €1.50 (valid 75 minutes), €2.30 if purchased onboard. Must validate tickets on every bus. BLQ Aerobus connects Bologna Airport to central station (20 min, €6). Service runs ~5 AM–midnight. Children under 1.15m free.

Two main cooperatives operate 700+ white taxis. Cannot hail on street—use taxi stands (Bologna Centrale, Piazza Maggiore) or call/app. Metered fares: day base €3.40 (06:00–22:00), night €6.10 (22:00–06:00), Sunday/holiday €5.30. Airport fixed rate €11. All taxis accept cards. Wheelchair-accessible taxis available (051-372525).
Bologna Centrale is major hub with 700+ daily trains, 159,000 passengers. High-speed trains to Florence (45 min), Milan (1.5h), Venice (1.5h), Rome (2-3h). Regional trains (Trenitalia TPER) serve Emilia-Romagna region including Modena, Ferrara, Ravenna, Parma.
