🤷♂️Call me stupid falling for it..
it started with my own experience- I paid €428 for what I thought was the Official Vatican tour from Official web page, only to realise it was from a reseller site which is built similar way to Official page with Official Title only to deceive tourist like me and others and charge them extra..(I got the tickets through mail 12 days later clearly showing the real value. They took €294 extra and added no value apart from the stress of never recieving the real tickets. I am yet to go and will update my story).
A friend had a similar issue applying for US tourist visa. He clicked the first option google gave him, landing on a Official looking page with a deciving name. Didn't realise until later he was charged $125 for something completly free $0 on the official US gouvernement web-page.
Everyday , travellers falls for the same thing when booking popular attractions or applying for Visas and permits through third-party resellers. They dominate the search result on google through advertising and overcharge only to bring no added value.
I came to realise this was happening across the world for every attractions their is a reseller trying to funel people to their buying page. They have biased Searched result and do everything to keep #1 advertising google. I said it was enough and decided to built something for me to rely on and the idea to expand to every city and share my work was only one step from this.
